An original March 11, 1869 American Merchants Union Express Company [American Express] stock certificate for 50 shares paid to “Joseph Barton”, signed on the front in black fountain pen with a terrific signature by American Express and Wells Fargo Founder William Fargo.
The Certificate measures 11¾” x 9″ and bears the normal cancellation stamp and punch-hole.
