Ruth Bader Ginsburg typed letter signed, composed on her personal U.S. Supreme Court stationery.  She signed it “Ruth” at the conclusion in black felt tip pen. 

Ginsburg writes to Lolo Sarnoff, founder of Art for the Aging, regarding her friend, a lawyer from the People’s Republic of China.

Ginsburg writes in part:

”My dear friend, Jia Zhao, a prominent Chicago lawyer and first person from the PRC to attend all three years of a U.S. law school, will be in town…May I bring her (along with Marty, of course) to the Art for the Aging event?… Ruth”.

Single page letter is dated 1 September 2006 and measures 6.25” x 8.625”.

There is a single fold across the letter, and ”yes” is written in pencil.  In overall excellent condition.
