Two of the game’s greatest dunkers – Michael Jordan and Dominique Wilkins – treated fans with jams packed with creativity and athleticism in the final round of the 1988 NBA Slam Dunk Championship. Michael Jordan won the title on the strength of a final dunk that still amazes basketball fans.
Needing a score of 49 out of a possible 50, Jordan duly impressed the judges and fans by getting a 50 with a spectacular dunk that began with a jump from the free-throw line.
