This may be basketball’s most famous image. On February 6, 1988 the stage was set for 2 of basketball’s greatest dunkers – Michael Jordan & Dominique Wilkins. Fans were treated to jams packed with creativity and athleticism, particularly during the final round of competition. Jordan was down in the contest needing 49 out of a possible 50 points to capture the victory. In typical Jordan fashion, MJ delivered one of basketballs most iconic images, a picture which still resonates in the basketball world today. His final flight began at the free-throw line and ended by leaving judges mesmerized, fans in a frenzy, and television viewers all over the world at a loss for words. Jordan captured this special victory by scoring a perfect 50 on his last dunk. This was one of Michael Jordan’s most memorable moments.
