Description

Official 2002 US Open Bethpage Black Tournament Pin Flag, nicely signed in black paint pen by Tiger Woods.

Number 12 of a numbered, limited edition of  500 (#12/500).

There are a few very minor pin-holes in the flag – these are in every single Tiger flag.  They pinned them to cardboard before he signed them so that his signature would come out nicer on the flat immovable surface.  They are near the corners and are very hard to see even in these close-up images.

Signed at an official paid private autograph session.

Sold with Certificates of Authenticity from both The Autograph Source  and Upper Deck Authenticated (UDA).

Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson have had some epic battles on the golf course over the course of their amazing careers. One of the more impressive ones came in the 2002 U.S. Open at Bethpage Black. The first U.S. Open to be played on a public course, this event concluded with Woods earning his second career U.S. Open win and eighth major title overall.

Although Woods ended with a wire-to-wire victory, Mickelson made it interesting. He carded a 67 on Saturday and a final-round 70 to get within three shots of Woods, but it was Tiger’s weekend as he earned the win with a three-under par 270.
